Traditional Tea-Making Method from Makinohara

Tea leaves from Makinohara, exposed to strong sunlight, are thicker than those from mountainous regions. To maximize the characteristics of these leaves, the "deep steaming method" was developed about 50-60 years ago, which extends the steaming time. Deep-steamed tea leaves have a beautiful dark green color, less bitterness, and a rich, robust flavor.
