Sakuragiya is a hugely popular ramen shop based in Odate City, Akita Prefecture, known for its long lines and loyal local fans. In the Akita Ramen General Election, it has taken first place twice, and its signature “Nira Soba” sells around 150,000 bowls a year at the shop.

This instant version faithfully recreates Sakuragiya’s famous Nira Soba: a soy sauce–based soup finished with chili oil for a mildly spicy, fragrant kick. The broth combines the umami of chicken, pork, seafood and vegetables, with garlic and red chili pepper adding depth and warmth. The noodles are classic wheat-based Chinese-style noodles with a satisfying, springy texture that pairs perfectly with the flavorful soup.
